Dan was raised in a small network of caves hidden in a hill side overlooking Penmachno, North Wales. Existing on a diet of wood sorrel and pine needles, he did not experience daylight until the age of 4, when, alone, he set out to explore the big world. In 1987 Dan enjoyed a brief stint as a Buddhist monk, before continuing with his worldly wonderings. It was whilst travelling in darkest Peru that Dan was first introduced to music.
